Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Delhi

Your guide meets you on arrival and transfers you to your hotel. Delhi has been the seat of empires for over a thousand years — from the Delhi Sultanate to the Mughals and the British Raj — and that layered history shapes the days ahead. The evening is free to rest and adjust; your guide is on hand with tips for a gentle first outing if you’d like one. Overnight in Delhi.

Today’s highlights
  • Private welcome & hotel transfer
  • Evening at leisure
  • Trip briefing with your guide
Overnight: Delhi Meals: None (arrival day)
Day 2

Delhi full-day sightseeing

A full, unhurried day across the capital. In Old Delhi, the Jama Masjid — India’s largest mosque, completed by Shah Jahan in the 1650s — overlooks Chandni Chowk, the 17th-century bazaar laid out by his daughter Jahanara; nearby stand the Red Fort, the Mughal seat of power from which the Prime Minister addresses the nation each Independence Day, and Raj Ghat, Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial. In New Delhi you visit Humayun’s Tomb, the 1570 garden-tomb that pioneered the style perfected in the Taj, and the 73-metre Qutub Minar, begun in 1193 to mark the dawn of Muslim rule, passing India Gate and the colonial-era government buildings. Overnight in Delhi.

Today’s highlights
  • Jama Masjid, Red Fort & Chandni Chowk
  • Raj Ghat memorial
  • Humayun’s Tomb & Qutub Minar
  • India Gate & government quarter
Overnight: Delhi Meals: Breakfast at hotel
Day 3

Delhi → Agra: Taj Mahal & Agra Fort

After breakfast, drive to Agra on the Yamuna Expressway (about 3.5–4 hours). In the afternoon, visit the Taj Mahal — Shah Jahan’s 1632–53 marble monument to Mumtaz Mahal and a New Seven Wonder — with your guide, then tour the mighty Agra Fort, the Mughals’ fortified capital, with the option to watch the Taj glow at sunset from across the river at Mehtab Bagh. Overnight in Agra.

Today’s highlights
  • Drive to Agra
  • Taj Mahal with your guide
  • Agra Fort
  • Optional Mehtab Bagh sunset view
Overnight: Agra Meals: Breakfast at hotel
Day 4

Agra → Fatehpur Sikri → Jaipur

An optional sunrise return to the Taj is possible before breakfast. Then drive to Jaipur (about 4.5 hours), stopping at Fatehpur Sikri, the flawlessly preserved red-sandstone capital Emperor Akbar built in 1571 and abandoned barely 15 years later for lack of water. Arrive in the Pink City by evening. Overnight in Jaipur.

Today’s highlights
  • Optional sunrise Taj revisit
  • Fatehpur Sikri guided stop
  • Scenic drive to Jaipur
Overnight: Jaipur Meals: Breakfast at hotel

In the late afternoon, drive back to Delhi (about 5–5.5 hours) for your departure.
