Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Delhi

Your guide meets you on arrival and transfers you to your hotel. Delhi has been the seat of empires for over a thousand years — from the Delhi Sultanate to the Mughals and the British Raj — and that layered history shapes the days ahead. The evening is free to rest and settle in, with your guide on hand for tips if you’d like a gentle first outing. Overnight in Delhi.

Today’s highlights
  • Private welcome & hotel transfer
  • Evening at leisure
  • Trip briefing with your guide
Overnight: Delhi Meals: None (arrival day)
Day 2

Old & New Delhi sightseeing → drive to Agra

After breakfast, explore the capital in full. In Old Delhi you visit the Jama Masjid — India’s largest mosque, completed by Shah Jahan in the 1650s — and ride a cycle-rickshaw through the 17th-century bazaar of Chandni Chowk, passing the red-sandstone ramparts of the Red Fort. In New Delhi you see the soaring Qutub Minar, a 73-metre victory tower begun in 1193; the lotus-shaped Bahá’í House of Worship (Lotus Temple); and the golden-domed Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, driving along the imperial boulevard past India Gate, Parliament and the President’s House. In the afternoon you drive to Agra on the Yamuna Expressway (about 3.5–4 hours) and check in. Overnight in Agra.

Today’s highlights
  • Jama Masjid & cycle-rickshaw in Chandni Chowk
  • Red Fort & Qutub Minar
  • Lotus Temple & Gurudwara Bangla Sahib
  • India Gate & imperial New Delhi

Day 3

Sunrise Taj Mahal, Agra Fort & Abhaneri step-well → Jaipur

Begin at dawn with the Taj Mahal at sunrise — Shah Jahan’s white-marble mausoleum for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World — at its most serene before the crowds. After breakfast, tour Agra Fort, the red-sandstone royal citadel from which the Mughals ruled much of India and where Shah Jahan spent his final years. Then drive towards Jaipur (about 5 hours), stopping en route at the Abhaneri step-well (Chand Baori) — one of India’s deepest and oldest step-wells, its 3,500 symmetrical steps descending 13 storeys. Arrive in Jaipur by evening. Overnight in Jaipur.

Today’s highlights
  • Sunrise at the Taj Mahal
  • Guided tour of Agra Fort
  • Abhaneri step-well (Chand Baori) en route
  • Arrive Jaipur
Overnight: Jaipur Meals: Breakfast at hotel
Day 4

Jaipur — full day of sightseeing

Spend a full day in the Pink City, washed terracotta-pink in 1876 to welcome the Prince of Wales. Ascend to the hilltop Amber Fort of the Kachhwaha Rajputs, with its palaces, gardens and mirrored Sheesh Mahal; stop at the beautifully symmetrical Panna Meena Ka Kund step-well; admire the Hawa Mahal, the 1799 ‘Palace of Winds’ with its 953 lattice windows; pause at the lake-set Jal Mahal; and explore the City Palace, still home to Jaipur’s royal family, and the Jantar Mantar, an 18th-century observatory and UNESCO site with the world’s largest stone sundial. Overnight in Jaipur.

Yes — every tour is private and tailor-made. Adjust the pace, add photography, food or shopping, pick your hotel category, or extend with Ranthambore or Varanasi.
How is the 5-day different from the 4-day tour?
The 5-day adds a night and a gentler pace: a dedicated arrival day to settle in, a full day of Old & New Delhi sightseeing, a sunrise visit to the Taj, and a relaxed full day in Jaipur — rather than compressing the highlights into four days.
