Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrive in Delhi
Your guide meets you on arrival and transfers you to your hotel. Delhi has been the capital of empires for over a thousand years — Sultanate, Mughal and British — and that depth of history threads through the journey ahead. Settle in and relax; the evening is free, with your guide available for tips or a gentle first outing. Overnight in Delhi.
- Private welcome & hotel transfer
- Evening at leisure
- Trip briefing with your guide
Delhi full-day sightseeing
A full day across Old and New Delhi at an unhurried pace. In Old Delhi, the Jama Masjid — India’s largest mosque, completed by Shah Jahan in the 1650s — overlooks Chandni Chowk, the 17th-century bazaar laid out by his daughter Jahanara; nearby stand the Red Fort, the Mughal seat of power and site of the annual Independence Day address, and Raj Ghat, Gandhi’s memorial. In New Delhi you visit Humayun’s Tomb, the 1570 forerunner of the Taj, and the 73-metre Qutub Minar, begun in 1193, passing India Gate and the government quarter. Overnight in Delhi.
- Old Delhi: Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Chandni Chowk
- Raj Ghat
- Humayun’s Tomb & Qutub Minar

Delhi → Agra: Taj Mahal & Agra Fort
Drive to Agra on the Yamuna Expressway (about 3.5–4 hours). Visit the Taj Mahal — Shah Jahan’s white-marble mausoleum for Mumtaz Mahal (1632–53), a UNESCO site and New Seven Wonder — with your guide, and tour the red-sandstone Agra Fort, the Mughals’ seat of power, with plenty of time for photography and an optional sunset view from Mehtab Bagh. Overnight in Agra.

Agra → Fatehpur Sikri → Jaipur
An optional sunrise Taj visit is possible before breakfast. Then drive to Jaipur (about 4.5 hours), exploring Fatehpur Sikri en route — Emperor Akbar’s perfectly preserved capital of 1571, abandoned within 15 years for want of water. Arrive in the Pink City with the evening free to relax. Overnight in Jaipur.

Jaipur full day
A full day in Jaipur, the city painted pink in 1876 to welcome the Prince of Wales. Visit the spectacular hilltop Amber Fort of the Kachhwaha Rajputs (with an optional jeep ascent), the 1799 Hawa Mahal whose 953 windows let royal women watch unseen, the City Palace — still the royal family’s home — and the Jantar Mantar, an 18th-century observatory and UNESCO site with the world’s largest stone sundial, plus free time for the colourful bazaars, blue pottery and gem workshops. An optional Rajasthani cultural evening rounds off the day. Overnight in Jaipur.
